Mobile Advertising FAQs

By

We understand that mobile advertising, like SmartFencing™, is a brand new concept for most of our clients. The idea of sending ads to potential patients through their mobile devices can be a bit daunting so we’ve put together a few FAQs to help you get a stronger grasp on SmartFencing.

  1. What is the difference between in-app and mobile web advertising?

In-app advertising is the system SmartFencing™ uses to send your advertisements. This means that the small banner ad appears on the bottom of the screen when a potential patient is using one of 90,000+ apps. Whereas mobile web advertising appear when someone is browsing the internet on their smart phone.

  1. Why should I choose in-App advertising over mobile web advertising?

The short answer is that mobile phone users spend more time on their apps than their do browsing the internet. Mobile web browsing makes up less than 10% of time spent on mobile devices. In fact, in 2018, the average amount of time a mobile user spent in an app was 2 minutes and 3 seconds. While the average amount of time a user spend on the mobile web was only 13 seconds. Your SmartFencing™ ads are more likely to be seen and responded to when they are presented in an app.

  1. How can I ensure that my ads are being delivered to those who care about the messaging?

Our SmartFencing™ service has this incredible feature that allows you to target who your ads get delivered to based on their habits, age, buying patterns, hobbies, etc. Our Behavioral Audience metrics can ensure that your ads are delivered to an audience who is more likely to care about your message and your services. A recent study conducted by comScore suggests that mobile ads are reaching their intended audiences at a higher rate than desktop ads. Mobile ads, or those ads delivered on cell phones and tablets, are reaching up to 71% of their targeted audience while desktop ads are struggling to reach over 50%.

  1. What is CPM and why is that the pricing structure you use?

CPM (cost per thousand) is the most common method of pricing web ads and is the pricing structure we use for SmartFencing™. It is priced at a flat rate per 1,000 “impressions.” One impression occurs each time an ad is displayed before a user, regardless if it was actually clicked on. In other words, you’re paying for exposure. There are no additional charges for any click that your ad receives. We charge $10 for every 1,000 ads delivered.

  1. How Do I know How Well My Ads Have Done?

We understand that measuring the success of your SmartFencing™ campaign is very important to you. That’s why we provide you with weekly reports displaying the success of the campaign as a whole as well as each individual ad. If you have any questions about your reports or want to make any changes along the way, we have a team at the ready to help you with every need.
